The THN Swallowing and Dysphagia Clinic offers both clinical and endoscopic evaluations of swallowing to patients with dysphagia (swallowing difficulties), provided by SLP Endoscopix.
Common symptoms of dysphagia include food remaining in the mouth (residue), sensation of food stuck in the throat, coughing, throat clearing, voice changes after swallowing, and food coming back up (regurgitation).
Our clinic can evaluate the swallow and determine what type of maneuvers, strategies, exercises and/or modification to liquid/solid consistencies will be beneficial. We can facilitate referrals to relevant medical practitioners, to ensure applicable diagnoses are identified and addressed.

The FEES exam is privately paid by the patient. Invoices are provided for those with extended health benefits wishing to obtain reimbursement. Direct billing can be completed for patients with MVA claims.
